Yut Kee @Jalan Dang Wangi,Kuala Lumpur

*
*non-halal*

This place needs no introduction as you guys all know its famous for their Hainanese cuisine.Yut Kee is another icon of Kuala Lumpur, one of the last remaining Hainanese coffee shops in town.Established at 1928, the place now is a whopping 83 years old and they are still going strong.Managed by the Lee family, it is fondly known as Jack’s Place. The restaurant serves a range of signature dishes and drinks from recipes as old as the shop itself.

We were waiting for the table in the long queue.

The interior is still the same as before.  The characteristics of the place is still unchanged.

The boss who is third generation now is manning the counter.

The menu :)..price was increase..

All of us were ordered the same food, their signature dish,Hainan Pork Chop(rm10).Gravy is generously served all over two pieces of pork chops..served alone with some potato wedges, onions, tomatoes and peas.

There are famous for a few items..to me its all their "babi" items,no offence to my halal readers .

Finally i get to order this famous Roast Pork Roll, because this was always sold out by 12.30pm.We were purposely to wake up early cause of get this Roast Pork Roll. The roast pork roll was served with the apple jam, a plate of serving came with only 2 pieces of the meat. Well, it was all worth it. The skin was magnificently crispy while the meat was tender. Similar to “siew yuk”, this was addictive! Its only served on weekend.

taken outside the restaurant. :)
