Lital Mendel's Just One More Paper Necklace

The Just One More… jewelry collection is filled with wearable art. A continuation of her fascination with paper, which was first explored in her Folds line, Israeli designer Lital Mendel has decided to take it up a notch. As her title suggests, she plays with paper in such a way that she creates long sinuous necklaces that beg the statement, ‘Just one more….’

Made up of hundreds of folded paper, the necklaces featured in the Just One More… collection often determine the snaking shape it takes on. Mendel writes, “It is hard to pinpoint the exact moment when instead of controlling the material, it begins to have a will of its own and to influence the design process. The creation of this collection always involves dealing with the conflict between the material and its ‘will’ and my intentions the designer.”

Limited Edition Marni at H&M Jewel Hats

 Marni presents a collection of 8 unique jewel hats made entirely by hand for the Marni at H&M project. Ikepod Horizon Watch by Kaws

Marc Newson's Ikepod watch brand collaboration with graffiti artist turned painter/ sculptor/ designer Kaws.

KAWS personally designed the dial of this special Horizon, and nobody plays the line between art and time better than Ikepod, so it is a perfect collaboration for both parties.  This is the type of watch that could be massively collectible down the line.

The Horizon watch comes with a titanium case, Caliber ETA 2892, sapphire crystal, diameter of 44mm, is water resistant up to 50 m and has a dial and rubber band designed by Kaws. It will release in overall 4 colorways, featuring the Kaws Chum design and X-Eye hands. It will go for 14′000 USD, yet we do not have a release date for the moment.

Cobble Necklace by Louis Filosa

Louis Filosa's 3D printed Cobble Necklace has won the FOC Talents Challenge 2011 summer edition which was held in cooperation with designer Ross Lovegrove.





The summer edition of the FOC Talents Challenge 2011 was awarded to designers who interpreted designer Ross Lovegrove's brief for a vision of "organic essentialism".



Says Lovegrove about the Cobble: "I find erosion a fantastic provider of form and it could be a metaphor for infinite form."



"What I also like about this work is the contained object which has an almost tribal quality and something more contemporary in the way it is worn... I like its strength and wearability almost as if emotions can crawl inside and live there... ritualistic."
Says FOC, "The Cobble Necklace is a precious collectible, visually intriguing as a complex piece of jewellery or as a beautiful, organic, and self-contained object."



Second place was awarded to the Park necklace design by Pekka Salokannel. "The design is inspired by the concept of parks incorporating two separate and distinct styles (man-made and natural scenery) to express their intrinsic beauty."



"The double faced necklace also has two distinctly unique sides that allow the wearer to express a different mood for different occasions. "It's all about your mood at the moment - which side you love the most" explains Pekka.
