Mimic By Lucio Arese With Music Of Yu Miyashita

Mimic is an experimental video directed by Lucio Arese with music of Yu Miyashita.

An hyperdense block of objects driven by music collides, collapses, spread into random formations and disintegrates at frantic speed.

Shot into a cattle market, the film rides the verge between nonsense, random noise and organic, structured audiovisual events, enhancing the plastic clashes of a digital inserted foreground into an old and rusty environment.

Humorous, lunatic, cartoonish, nightmarish, Mimic is an attempt to reach a complete unity between music and motion picture in an epoch of violent changes.

Video Puzzle Video for "We Are Young"

In perhaps the most popular video cover yet, up-and-coming YouTube user MysteryGuitarMan has made an eye-catching and clever iPhone ‘video puzzle’ of newcomer band Fun.‘s infectious debut single, ‘We Are Young.’

Adopting a technique that can only be described as puzzling, MysteryGuitarMan uses images and sounds from multiple iPhones to make a seamless music video that syncs quite nicely with the original lyrics and tone of the single. The video used in the YouTube clip blends across the phones with an amazing amount of accuracy, while the lyrics of the song are literally spelled out across the four phones. Constantly in motion, the carefully synchronized devices are truly capitivating.

Incredibly creative and bound to further popularize an already well-known track, MysteryGuitarMan’s video is something to look out for. With more than 800 000 views so far, it’s clear that there is an audience for the video puzzle.

OK Go - Needing/Getting - Official Video

The new music video from OK Go, made in partnership with Chevrolet. OK Go set up over 1000 instruments over two miles of desert outside Los Angeles. A Chevy Sonic was outfitted with retractable pneumatic arms designed to play the instruments, and the band recorded this version of Needing/Getting, singing as they played the instrument array with the car. The video took 4 months of preparation and 4 days of shooting and recording. There are no ringers or stand-ins; Damian took stunt driving lessons. Each piano had the lowest octaves tuned to the same note so that they'd play the right note no matter where they were struck. Many thanks to Chevy for believing in and supporting such an insane and ambitious project, and to Gretsch for providing the guitars and amps.

The Vinyl Factory and Island Records are proud to present a luxurious limited edition of Florence + the Machine's acclaimed new single, Shake it Out, the song's only physical release.

This is the first in a series of limited edition vinyl releases from Florence + the Machine with The Vinyl Factory.
