Winners of BOFFO Building Fashion 2011

 
 
 
BOFFO Building Fashion 2011(in partnership with Architizer) explores the intersection of architecture and fashion through installation and exhibition design by pairing fashion designers with architects to build temporary installations.  Each installation reappropriates the project space  providing a unique glimpse into the vibrant work of New York’s next generation of fashion designers and architects.  This year’s location is in the vibrant shopping district of Tribeca, New York.

Irene Neuwirth + TheVeryMany: September 29 – October 12, 2011

Patrik Ervell + Graham Hudson: October 20 – November 2, 2011

The Lake &  Stars + SOFTlab: November 10 – 23, 2011

Ohne Titel + EASTON+COMBS: Dec. 1 – Dec. 14, 2011

 First up is Mugler Creative Director Nocola Formichetti(Fashion Director for Lady Gaga ,as well as Creative Director for Mugler as well as fashion stylist to Uniqlo, MAC and V Magazine) who has joined forces with Gage/Clemenceau Architects. Together the two will christened the space at 57 Walker Street in New York City to create an original retail environment. Every two weeks, a different duo will take over with Irene Neuwirth/THEEVERYMANY, Patrik Ervell/Graham Hudson, The Lake & Stars/SOFTlab and finally, Ohne Titel/EASTON+COMBS. Nicola Formichetti’s space will run from Spetember 8 till the 21st. Founding partner and cotton brand Supima will also serve as a platform for specialty products to be available for sale.
